Bakarindi Bush Foods, previously owned by a family located at the back of Corindi, is now an Aboriginal owned and operated not-for-profit business under Mudyala Aboriginal Corporation located in Townsend, Northern NSW. Mudyala Aboriginal Corporation aim to use Bakarindi Bush Foods as an educational tool of native plants and uses for local Aboriginal children and youth.
The foods used in the Bakarindi Bush Foods products are sourced from local farmers and suppliers. Locally sourced products include Finger Limes, Riberries, Lemon and Aniseed Myrtle, Rosella Flowers, Davidson Plums both NSW and Queensland varieties, Mangoes, Tomatoes, Onions, Garlic and Chillies.
Bakarindi Bush Foods offers homemade relishes, chutneys, sauces and jams, and take the products both traditional and bush foods to the public through various markets and now our online store.
All proceeds goes back into Aboriginal children and youth programs within the Clarence Valley Aboriginal communities.
All our products have NO artificial colourings, flavours or preservatives.
